Antibiotics such as metronidazole , tinidazole , cephamandole , latamoxef , cefoperazone , cefmenoxime , and furazolidone , cause a disulfiram -like chemical reaction with alcohol by inhibiting its breakdown by acetaldehyde dehydrogenase , which may result in vomiting, nausea, and shortness of breath. In addition, the efficacy of doxycycline and erythromycin succinate may be reduced by alcohol consumption. Other effects of alcohol on antibiotic activity include altered activity of the liver enzymes that break down the antibiotic compound.
For most pain, you can mix 10 drops of your choice of essential oil with two tablespoons of a good base oil such as coconut oil , sweet almond oil, jojoba oil or borage oil. Mix well, then gently massage on the affected areas. You don’t need to use ALL of the oil if it is not necessary. For example, for headaches , all you really need is a dab on each temple and perhaps another on the back of the neck to get relief from your pain. However, if you are massaging the entire back of a large man, for example, you might need to double this mixture in order to get proper coverage.
