I forgot to mention, do NOT use oatmeal directly in bath water. It will plug up the plumbing. There are oatmeal concoctions that can be purchased in store,Walgreen’s ,etc. I found my last pk. at the dollar store.
And, my best remedies that bring almost instant relief,it I don’t want to mess with the oatmeal ( mine is on hands & arms right now ), witch hazel works wonders. One must apply at least 3 – 4 times a day. Also,do you know NOXZEMA was originally developed for the relief of eczema? Hence, the name. That’s what I slather on in AM and PM,and it does help. Warm showers only. Hot water is a killer. Humidity, whether the weather or inside home is something I can’t tolerate. When taking showers, I always finish with about 2 minutes with as cold water as I can stand. Makes it easier to face the day..so cooling,& refreshing, especially in warm weather, followed by a generous amount of Noxzema to tackle the day.
Hope some or at least one of these suggestions will work for you!! Keep the faith.

Dry, chapped, and itchy skin on the hands that doesn’t improve with moisturizer may be a sign of hand eczema. Symptoms can include red, itchy, inflamed skin with blistering that can lead to oozing, crusting, and cracking. People who have their hands in water all day or work closely with irritants such as detergents or solvents are more likely to develop this type of eczema. If you had atopic dermatitis as a child, you may also have a higher risk of developing hand eczema. Applying a cream after washing hands or wearing gloves may help protect hands from future flare-ups.

How does eczema start? I had one regular blister on my foot that would not heal. Within 2 weeks, I had many tiny blisters. The initial blister did heal. I have been dealing with these blisters for 5 months now. I went to the doc 3 times. The last specialist said I am experiencing stress…which I am, which makes the eczema worse. She said leather shoes are better than tennis shoes. She told me to stay hydrated inside and out. She prescribed me a cream that I took to reduce the inflammation, but I try not to use. I wear socks with everything to avoid friction on my feet. I am on my feet most of the work day. Even power walking gives me blisters and irritates the tiny blisters. I miss my feet. I was eating healthy prior to all this…it is a struggle now, just balancing all of life’s demands. I am glad to find your blog. Any helpful advice welcomed.
